VeEx cx310 Basic Functional Instructions Video

It is important to know and be able to use all functions

All three ways to connect miter to the internet (click to jump):

Coax (via antenna cable)

WiFi (via wi-fi)

Cat5 (Over twisted pair)

Getting the metrics right

This video will explain in detail all aspects of passing metrics.

Follow these instructions as you go through the metrics on each job.

On every job, we are required to take these metrics and send them to the server. Metrics must be sent at least 7 minutes before the job closes.

If for some reason the metrics didn't upload to the server, there's a video below on uploading metrics manually.

There's also an accelerated way to pass metrics:

Manual metrics upload (Wi-Fi)

This video demonstrates offloading metrics that have not been offloaded into R-Server.

It also tells you how to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

In case you got an error when uploading metrics on an order, and you are not sure if the metric has been uploaded. It is worth to connect miter to the Internet (via cable, Wifi or Internet wire) go to R-server, and find there your work by date. If there is no asterisk in front of your metric, you need to resolve it.

Cable Modem Test + R-server, update and upload metrics

This video explains all aspects of the Cable Modem test in detail.

And has bonus material on measuring internet speed through coaxial cable.

Also included here is an explanation of R-Server with miter updates and uploading metrics via cable.

For personal miter use, it is easiest to use this variation of the Cable modem(s), for metrics, remember to use the HIP variation of the test.

TDR test and its passing

This video demonstrates the use of the TDR test in both ways;

From the main menu and through HIP.

TDR is used to determine the length of the cable.

For MDU procedures or for personal use it is easier to use TDR from the main menu.

When installing new underground cable, it is mandatory to use TDR Drop verification in HIP.

Measuring speed over the internet wire

Here I talk about a way to measure the speed of twisted pair internet connection. It is necessary in order to detect a defect in the modem/router.

Example: A customer complains about the speed, we measured it with a phone - it's really low. What do we change? We test the speed of the modem and if the speed is acceptable, we change the router....

I suggest you use Internet adapter for phone to measure speed.

The adapter is many times faster to use. Video instruction on how to use the adapter: Watch
